Babylon is a multicultural site with information about living in Ireland, a web radio, fresh articles, and events. It is an exciting opportunity for those who are looking for some hands-on experience.

The internship is for a minimum of 3 months, and it is unpaid.

The Station Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Babylon radio station. You will ensure that the key objectives of the station are met in terms of output and audience. Radio station manager focus will attend to the listeners, views, different potential artists and what shows should be playing in order to reach a larger audience.

You will help to determine the stations objectives and you will have the opportunity to provide leadership in order to achieve those goals!

Communication is the key element of this role and we at Babylon are on the lookout for someone with a keen interest in the radio field and a positive and creative attitude.

Responsibilities:

Be able to generate creative ideas that will enhance the radio s listeners, and implement them in a successful way.
Be able to create and reach specific goals in order to enhance radio's general audience.
Being able to know how to engage an audience and which strategies are used to increase the overall radio consumers.
Organize and execute the radio s planning, being open to improve or incorporate more aspects to increase the listeners.

Requirements:

Have excellent presentation and communication skills.
Exercise sound editorial judgment;
Be able to give and receive constructive feedback and manage performance.
Have a strong listening capacity and be open to new ideas.
Have knowledge of the market. Having a general knowledge about different stations, programme types and styles and audience behaviors will be an advantage.
An adventurous personality that is willing to try different approaches in order to succeed

Experience in using Google products
Experience in using Trello
