Commercial E&S Production UW - Hybrid

This top national Brokerage has a new opportunity for a Commercial, E&S, Multi-line Underwriter, for their Houston office.

Business is comprised of a variety of commercial, small to mid-sized Property and GL classes.

The assigned territory is the state of Texas.

Responsibilities include:

Evaluate, rate, quote and bind risks to determine acceptability and compliance per company guidelines

Responsibility for marketing, sales and production of your own book of new and renewal business for your assigned territory

Manage and maintain Agency relationships, including regular agency visits

Assist with developing your marketing strategies for increasing production

Assist as needed with the training and mentoring of UW associates and assistants

Qualified candidates must have:

A minimum of five years of commercial multi-line underwriting experience

A minimum of 3 years of excess and surplus lines underwriting experience

Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing

Insurance License, CPCU, CIC or comparable designations preferred

Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Those from MGAs or Brokerages are preferred

A clean driving record and the ability to travel
