Responsibilities:
In this role, the system engineer will collaborate with other engineers, finance, and business development teams, catering to external customers' technical and cost-related needs. Responsibilities will include architecting electronic systems, responding to customer inquiries, proposing solutions, facilitating meetings, evaluating requirements, providing cost and schedule information, and aiding in the transition of new programs to the engineering execution team.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in electronics system-level architecture and design, especially in space electronics or high-speed digital systems. Key expertise includes multi-board architecture, optimizing systems for constraints like size, weight, and power, and board-level design.
Specific Skills:
- Proficiency in schematic capture, layout, testing, FPGA design (if applicable), and a robust understanding of electronic product development phases.
Additional Expertise:
- Technical writing, proposal creation, cost estimation methods, and the ability to excel in a dynamic business development environment while meeting critical deadlines.
