NC FAST requires the services of a Curam Reports Developer to assist with reports development activities for NC FAST Medicaid Projects

Job Description:

The NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks a contractor to assist with the design and implementation of NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) reports. The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate analysis and identification of reporting requirements for NC FAST Case Management System reports used by internal and external customers to make decisions that can have a significant impact on the effectiveness and accuracy in the administration of the programs. The Reports Developer is responsible for developing recommendations to effectively report data of mid to high level complexity related to varied business metrics and for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting reporting solutions, while enhancing existing reports to ensure that solutions continue to meet business needs.

The Reports Developer must understand the underlying data sources (databases) as well as interpret the requirements being provided by the business in order to review and analyze operational issues and devise the best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and or tracking data via reports and dashboards. These include but are not limited to report queries, report layouts, any necessary supporting data structures, and Extract Transformation Load required to populate the data structure. Duties also include review of the work of others to gather and document requirements for new reports and changes to existing reports, extraction, or collection of data for performing queries and writing reports, and to develop and analyze operational performance metrics and reports to ensure the quality and integrity of extracts though the use of validation and audit strategies. This position will also work in developing user friendly dashboards using Tableau.

The ideal candidate for this position demonstrates technical knowledge which may include but is not limited to using Oracle, Oracle Utilities, ETL tools, PL SQL, and Relational Database modeling as well as good experience with Power BI, Business Objects or BIRT, and experience with structured system development methodologies. Knowledge of Curam software and or AWS cloud would be an advantage for the candidate. Good communication skills both oral and written and ability to maintain effective working relationships with end users and staff.
