Position: REPORTING MANAGER - Financial Planning & Analysis
Our client is a diversified technology hardware, software, and solutions firm that continues to grow and lead in their sector. Continued growth and expansion coupled with investment by a Private Equity partner yields the need for a Reporting Manager to provide analytics and insight to move the firm ahead. This position reports directly to the CFO and is a hands-on role, ideal for a Sr. FP&A professional wanting to be a part of a growing organization.
This firm is located in Ft. Wayne IN, and preference is given to candidates who can work on site or hybrid. However, they are open to remote candidates who can come to the office periodically.
What you'll do:
- Report directly to the CFO.
- Work closely with department managers and executives to understand their information needs and provide reporting and analysis to guide business decisions.
- Be an integral part of the annual budgeting process, providing data to create budgets, and then ongoing reporting on performance vs. budget.
- Enhance the current financial planning and reporting environment by operationalizing current reports that are generated manually.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for information from executives as well as PE partners.
- Migrate reporting done in separate systems into one system (NetSuite) to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Leverage the reporting capabilities within the NetSuite application to standardize and generate reports.
- Capture and standardize data from various sources / business units to provide consolidated reporting and analytics.
- Work closely with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity for reporting.
- Collect financial data from internal departments and external sources for reporting and analysis.
- Help set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives
- Leverage formal methods like predictive planning, driver-based planning, and multi-scenario planning to create financial forecasts
Candidates who set themselves apart will have:
- Extensive experience and knowledge of accounting and financial data, and its meaning.
- Strong skills with financial planning and analysis, and related reporting.
- Exceptional skills to extract data from systems of record for manipulation and reporting via Excel and other tools.
- Ability to leverage reporting that exists within the ERP / Accounting systems. Specific NetSuite experience is a big plus.
- Advanced skills specifically with Excel, and ideally other tools to create dashboards, summaries, etc. for executives.
- Experience working in a PE backed firm, and understanding of the need for rapid response.
