Requirements for Positions:
Education
o Graduate of State-approved school of nursing.
o Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
Experience
o One (1) year of experience in hospice preferred, but not required.
Other Qualifications
o Current Illinois nursing license.
o Certification in hospice and palliative care preferred, but not required.
o CPR Certification preferred.
o Excellent clinical assessment, organizational and interpersonal relationship skills.
o A working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, hospice regulations, and third-party payor expectations is preferred.
o We visit our patients wherever they may be located, whether it be in their homes, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, etc. As a result, there is a fair amount of driving associated with the position. A valid drivers license, current car insurance coverage, and reliable transportation are requirements of the position.
