We are looking for a Full-time contractor or employee for a SQL Server Database Administrator role.Job Description: Provide Database maintenance and Infrastructure support of application databases in all Azure platform-based (including Azure DevOps & CI/CD Pipelines) environment (development, testing, training, and production experience in setting up Azure DevOps repos, pipelines, boards to help development and migration teams. Provide Network support for Azure, Application performance / health monitoring, Azure Capacity planning, Azure VPN troubleshooting, Azure VM maintenance and troubleshooting, Azure OS security patching and software updates, Azure automation management and improvements, IAM (Azure access management, and AD group Management & AD Administration. Experience and understanding of Software Development Lifecycle familiar with various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/ CD pipelines) Azure DevOps Preferred. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the application teams for Infrastructure related activities. Collaborate with Linux/Oracle Support and Salesforce Systems teams to ensure the application is highly available and not impacting the RRC technical environment. Responsible for overseeing activities related to network administration, server, database administration, and IT security areas. Recognize problems, develop recommendations and solutions, and oversee correction within assigned specialty. Responsible for capacity planning, service process design, performance analysis, and developing proactive resolution plans. Defining customer DevSecOps frameworks for secure CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and scripts and enabling automations using Shell Scripts. Prepare weekly status report decks and present project updates and progress to the team. Oversee installs, configuration, upgrades, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and management of the IT infrastructure to support requirements in areas such as data retention, security, business continuity, disaster recovery planning/testing and information risk management. Skills(Required): Network support for Azure, Application performance / health monitoring, Azure Capacity planning, Azure VPN Configuration / troubleshooting, Azure VM maintenance and troubleshooting, Azure OS security patching and software updates Azure automation management and improvements, IAM (Azure access management, and AD group Management) , AD Administration Experience performing Database Administration functions for MS SQL Server 2016 and later Understanding of complex SQL queries Experience in database, logical, and physical design Experience with PowerShell scripting on MS Windows Experience performing database backup, restore and recovery Experience with each of the following: Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security, while minimizing false alarms Experience with each of the following: Troubleshooting and resolving database problems, Data modeling techniques to ensure consistency across teams and to meet integration and performance expectations Experience with each of the following: Performance tuning and optimization at the physical server level (e.g., table and index partitioning), the database level (e.g., database settings and options), and query tuning Experience with: Installation and configuration of SQL Server including AlwaysON, and as well as other forms of replication, Expertise in Failover clustering, SAN replication, and other High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) technologies Experience with: Working with SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI Experience with Salesforce Systems Administration, building and deployment of agency MS Windows application server software Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university, with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. Education and experience may substitute for each other on a year for year basis. Skills(Preferred): Experience in multi-dimensional data models that are an extension of Star schema - where dimension tables are broken down into subdimension tables Knowledge of MuleSoft (version 4) Experience with Informatica Power Exchange Change Data Capture (CDC) Experience integrating SQL Server with Azure Active Directory Experience working with Microsoft DevOps (previously called Team Foundation Server (TFS Experience with Data Lakes; SnowFlake; or other Data Warehouse platforms Working knowledge in one or more technology areas: Cloud technol-ogies, Cloud Storage, Cloud Networking, IaaS, PaaS, Observability, IAM, Infrastructure as Cloud (IaC), Certification is a plus: Azure Database Administrator; Certified Microsoft Database Administrator; MCTS; MCITP; MVP
