If you are an experienced California Licensed Structural Engineer ready to take on a Principal Engineer or Associate Principal Engineer role, this global company will empower you to provide West Coast clients with innovative, high-quality solutions. In this Director-level position, you will support and lead an award-winning structural engineering team with commercial construction projects for businesses, non-profits, higher education, libraries, museums, and airports. What Youll Do:



  • Support long-term strategy, growth, and future expansion throughout the Western region.

  • Spend approximately half the time on project delivery and the other half on business development.

  • Initiate, develop, and strengthen external and internal relationships, including collaborating at business meetings and industry conferences.

  • Mentor the team and champion the achievement of goals through best practices for project delivery and through developing new clients and projects.

  • Contribute to establishing estimated costs for large-scale projects and ensure profit with successful delivery, on time, and within scope and budget.

  • Review, analyze, and sign project-related drawings, contracts, and documentation.

  • Exemplify customer care with your consultative skills, and mentor the team to learn and practice customer focus.


What Youll Bring:


  • Fifteen or more years of experience managing large commercial construction projects.

  • Masters Degree in Structural Engineering, and a current California Structural Engineering License.

  • Track record of client engagement, and a network of established client relationships in California.

  • Ability to influence and obtain cooperation from external and internal stakeholders, including regulators.

  • Confidence, leadership skills, and proactive strengths when faced with challenging situations.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
