SMV Recruiting has an immediate opening for a PLC Maintenance Mechanic in Concord, NC. We are looking for someone for our clients injection molding team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands on PLC programming experience coupled with 2+ years of experience working with injection molding machines in manufacturing. This is a direct hire role and our client offers great benefits including healthcare, vacation and an extremely competitive 401k program.
Responsibilities:
- Manually program programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Perform troubleshooting, installation, root cause analysis and repair on mechanical and penumatic parts of electrical production equipment
- Use VOM, Oscilloscope, PLCs, control devices, DC and stepper drives and other equipment as needed
- Rewire circuits using ladder diagrams without documentation
- Set up new molds and tooling processes, change molds multiple times and perform quality control checks
- Maintain facility including the A/C units, HVAC, compressors, chillers and boilers
Requirements:
- 2-3+ years of hands on PLC programming experience
- 2-3+ years of manufacturing experience
- 1+ years of injection molding experience
- Experience in plastics strongly preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- Must have a good electrical and mechanical aptitude
