Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Customer Engineer in Phoenix, AZ, to: Perform startup activities through Tier II with limited support, and complete qualifications with minimal assistance. Complete quality repairs. Actively respond to fab issues by communicating with engineers in other locations and participating in escalation conference calls. May initiate or participate in projects to drive down costs or increase uptime. Verify operational quality of system equipment. Follow all checklists and procedures and ensure correct Revs of procedures and schematics are available prior to performing work. Perform retrofits on equipment, and assist in process issues. Develop and execute corrective action plans. Perform BKM’s and comply with all IP guidelines. Comply with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrate safety as a value. Troubleshoot and perform corrective maintenance on Semiconductor Processing Equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on Processing Equipment. Perform Wet Cleans on Semiconductor Processing Equipment and complete Advanced System Calibrations on Semiconductor Processing Equipment including critical alignments. Diagnose process related failures due to particles, process deviations, and yield shifts. Utilize Advanced Diagnostics such as Fault Detections and Tool Data Analytics to troubleshoot Semiconductor Processing Equipment failures. Train and mentor junior and new hire personnel on semiconductor processing Equipment. Evaluate and recommend training needs for the junior and new hire personnel. Perform parts usage analysis and part returns and train and mentor junior and new hire personnel on semiconductor processing equipment. Attend Daily communication pass downs with customer and management. Travel to clients'sites required (domestic/international).

Travel to various unanticipated domestic/international client locations (25%).

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience in any occupation in which semiconductor equipment experience was gained.

Salary: $85,530-$102,636/year
