Were looking for a full-time External Communications Manager to join our Global Brand, Communications and Marketing team in Amsterdam.

As External Communications Manager, you will play a key role supporting Signifys communications strategy and building Signifys reputation and leadership profile. In close collaboration with the Head of External Communications, you have a leading role to play in developing and executing our thought leadership program. You will work with senior executives and leaders from across the business as well as a global network of communications professionals at Signify, drafting and updating leadership narratives, writing speeches, op-eds and ensuring our voice is present where and when it matters.

What youll do

Work with executives, innovation and sustainability professionals to develop thought leadership platforms.

Activate thought leadership platforms with keynote and speech ideation and writing.

Create articles and content for internal and external use that support our leadership position.

Collaborate with our network of global communications specialists to source content from and support local thought leadership execution in Signify markets around the world.

Continuously integrate best-practices, outside-in learnings into content strategy and planning.
Your qualifications

You have more than eight years experience in the Corporate Communications environment, ideally with both in-house and agency experience.

You enjoy engaging with a broad range of stakeholders from senior executives to R&D and sustainability professionals. You know how the media works, have a sharp eye for what is newsworthy and can cut through technical detail to get to the compelling truth. You are a keen follower of the latest innovations in technology and developments in corporate sustainability.

Solid business acumen and experience working with executives on communications campaigns.

The ability to simplify complex information to create compelling messages for different audiences.

Exceptional writing, editing and proof-reading skills.

Experience dealing with complex communications channels across multiple businesses.

Strong organizational skills, with a focus on delivering work on time.

Responsible and adaptable to organizational and market changes.

Native English speaker and writer with a strong track record in writing high-impact content.
