To be successful for this Industrial Diesel Technician role you are needing certain skills and qualifications, including:

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
• Inspect engine computer and electronic systems to repair and maintain.
• Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts).
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues, i.e., leaks.
• Keep logs on work and issues.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
• Willing to work overtime.
• Willing to travel up to 25%

Skills

• Experience with Cummins INSITE or John Deere Service Advisor.
• Engine experience with one of the following: John Deere, Cummins or Mitsubishi.
• Have basic hand tools
• Be willing to be on call
• Unlimited overtime
• Five years’ experience (Preferred)

Marine Diesel Technicians ultimately responsible for maintain, diagnose, and repairing diesel engines and other systems in water vessels troubleshooting problems as needed. They work at marines or large shipping firms.
