Summary / Role Purpose

Senior project manager for foundry support contributes to the support of Ansys products with worldwide foundries. In this role, the senior project manager will support Ansys foundry team to provide the central collaboration point between Customer foundries and Ansys cross-functional teams across all levels of Ansys and customer management. This role will be to work with management team to lead the scoping and planning of key projects and successfully executes against the established commitments.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Guide complex semiconductor foundries engagements to successful outcomes using Project Management experience, planning and negotiation skills, subject matter expertise and industry knowledge
Facilitate the definition of project scope, goal, requirements and deliverables
Define project tasks and resource requirements
Develop and manage Project and Program level initiatives and coordinate project plans
Establish self as a trusted partner to multiple foundries; understand their key business initiatives, advanced technology needs and customer support workflows
Manage and track project resource allocations, timelines, and deliverables across multiple interconnected product lines and workstreams
Identify and manage project risk, escalate and interact with Ansys and customer foundry management for status and issue resolution
Work independently within multi-disciplinary teams.
Provide project management guidance to junior managers



Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering hardware design or software design development environment: BS+5 or MS+3
Proven experience in project management or complex project management with multiple workstreams
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead status presentations to customers, fluent in writing and speaking English
Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency
Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of time


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Preferred education and years of professional experience in an EDA or semiconductor foundry support: BS+7 or MS+5
3+ years of experience in Project Management with an enterprise software and technology deployment focus
Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial EDA software packages
Experience working with external and internal at multiple global locations
Experience with both Waterfall and Agile Project Management methodologies
