We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Controller to join our client's team. This role involves overseeing and mentoring our accounting and night audit teams. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the corporate office, ensuring accurate and timely hotel accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and train accounting and night audit staff.


• Collaborate with corporate office on various accounting matters.


• Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy.


• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly sales tax returns.


• Timely preparation of monthly financial statements.


• Conduct balance sheet analysis and year-end closings.


• Manage cash flow and bank reconciliations.


• Track and reconcile capital expenditures.


• Account for franchise fees and incentive programs.


• Work closely with ownership to address financial concerns.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years' experience in accounting leadership, preferably in a hotel setting.


• Proficiency in payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and income audit.


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.


• IT support skills, particularly in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel proficiency.


• Experience with Opera Property Management System and Digital Dining Point of Sale System preferred.


• Knowledge of Freedom Pay is advantageous.
