Are you looking for a new Career?

Do you thrive in a fast paced environment? Partnerships in Community Living is looking for reliable individuals with a passion for working with others. Whether you are just getting into the workforce or need a change of pace, there is no experience required to get started. We provide our own PAID 2 week training program!

What is a DSP?

DSPs at PCL support individuals who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own homes and in the community and help provide the supports they need to live self-directed lives. DSPs work with the people they support in partnership as a tool helping them with making informed decisions about everyday choices, advocating for them while encouraging them to advocate for themselves, and support them in maintaining meaningful relationships with those that mean the most to them. DSPs act as mentors and understand that each person they may support has different preferences and needs. While there are some aspects of caregiving as a DSP, there is so much more to it. For most of the people we support, we are helping them be as independent as they can. DSPs will be required to have the knowledge and understanding of mental health and positive behavioral supports.
