The Philips Hue system is growing day by day with the introduction of new lamp/luminaire types, auxiliary devices like sensors and switches and portal and App supported functions and services.


Job Responsibility

Be responsible for project implementation focusing RF circuits and system, including:
RF circuit topology drafting and schematic design, component selection (both RF IC and front-end circuit) and PCB layout.
Antenna (Monopole, Dipole, PIFA, Loop, etc.) design in complex surrounding having metallic and dielectric material, impedance matching and fine tuning, performance verification.
RF circuits analysis, simulation, impedance matching and fine tuning, S parameter measurement. Radio chip crystal tuning, loop gain, startup time measurement.
RF circuits prototyping, bring up, tuning and debugging, and problem solving.
Identify and implement RF design verification testing during release.
Identify and implement system level RF performance verification testing during production.
Risk assessment and problem solving during RF approbation.
Co-work with global RF architects, software and hardware teams on RF platform architecture definition
Enhance RF Lab and RF competence in SHA R&D site together with local/global team
Other than RF design, the developer should also work on general HW design for lighting control projects, including AC/DC, analog & digital circuits.


Requirements:

Bachelor's or master's degree, major in Microwave technology or RF electronics, with minimum 2+ years experience in wireless related area including RF hardware / Antenna design and verification.
Solid knowledge and understanding in RF components characteristics and behaviors (both active and passive, such as PA, LNA, PLL, filter, balun, switch, etc.)
Solid knowledge on RF transceiver architect (homodyne, heterodyne, etc.)
Extensive experience on RF circuit design, fabrication, debug and components qualification.
Hands-on experience with engineering test equipment, such as comprehensive test set (e.g. Litepoint IQ2010, KeySight N4010A, etc), Vector network analyzer, Spectrum analyzer, Power meter, Oscilloscope, etc.
Familiar with IEEE specification of 802.15.4. Experience on ZigBee system design and application is a must.
Experience on RF OTA test (TRP, TIS) and RF regulations is a plus.
Familiar with specifications of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or other RF protocol is a plus.
Experience on Internet of Thing (IoT) application and sensor network development is a plus.
Experience on RF design for GSM/GPRS/CDMA /LTE is a plus.
Experience in cooperation with software, or software design experiences.
