Sr Accountant, P&C Insurance - Hybrid (3 in and 2 at home)

WDC/Chevy Chase/Arlington/Bethesda, MD

We're looking for an experienced P&C insurance accountant, living in MD/WDC area who is technically strong and wants to grow in their career. Must be degreed with a minimum of 3 years experience in similar role in a P&C insurance carrier. MUST have STAT/GAAP and work experience in some or most of the following:

1. Financial analysis and research

2. Reinsurance loss journal entries and reconciliations - required

3. Reinsurance billings and cash tracking - required

4. Investment journal entries and reconciliations - preferred

5. NAIC and DOI reporting

Individual Profile Preferences - self starter, able to work with little supervision, collaborative spirited, analytical with an eye for meeting deadlines and accuracy.
