Position Title: Software Development Engineer III

Job Description: Perform full-stack development and system design. Architect, design, implement, build, and deploy scalable and robust applications, assuring that the final product is designed, and implemented to be as scalable and robust as possible. Build systems with emphasis on system design experience, OOP programming, and functional programming. Use the following technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Kafka, Java, AWS and Terraform using a methodology of Agile software development. Be responsible for and lead the adoption of new and exciting technologies in order to drive innovation. Work with the product management team on tasks requirements, analysis of functional requirements and creation of software design using Lucidchart, sequence diagrams and UML diagrams. Regularly propose new projects and identify needs and define their business objectives. Provide effective performance and development feedback to achieve individual and team goals. Mentor, develop and train more junior team members in order to set them and the company up for success. Take part in the creation of a proven high-scale, cloud-based services that enable the developers to build applications at a speed that on-premises solutions cannot match. Position based in a fixed New York, NY location with ability to telecommute 100% of the time.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.
Four (4) years of experience as a Software Development Engineer or related occupation performing software development engineering. Experience must include:

Three (3) years of experience in (may be gained concurrently):
• JavaScript
• NodeJS

Two (2) years of experience in (may be gained concurrently):
• AWS
• Java

One (1) year of experience in (may be gained concurrently):
• Kafka
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a directly related field.
$155,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
