Buchi Corporation seeks a Product Specialist in New Castle, DE

Duties

Analyzing compounds to determine chemical properties using spectroscopy, conducting quality control test, ensuring that lab instruments are kept in proper working order, compiling and analyzing test information to make sure the processes are operating efficiently. The duties will also include preparing standards and specifications for processes and facilities and coordinating and advising personnel in test procedures for analyzing components. It includes developing, improving and customizing products, equipment and formulas and conferring with scientists and engineers in respect of various product lines. Application and technical support for laboratory equipment in a sales organization. Responsible for pre/post-sale support to the BUCHI field sales team and customers through field and laboratory work: feasibility studies, applications development, demonstrations, training, and troubleshooting from the New Castle office/lab or remotely via video webcast. Direct point of contact for incoming demand of phone, email and chat support related to the covered product lines including but not limited to legacy products, quote configurations, parts identification, technical specifications, and application questions. Backup support for other products in BUCHI’s portfolio as needed. Entry of all related activities into BUCHI’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Execution of technical solutions such as seminars, webinars, application papers, oral presentations, posters, and web training.

Requirements

Master’s in Chemistry, food science or related field. Experience in NIR spectroscopy is required. Experience gained through academic coursework and research is acceptable.
