Plan, prepare, and deliver Spanish lessons and instruction to students (high school, grades 9-12) that is consistent with the NC Standard Course of Study for the appraisal of students performance. Supervise students in both classroom and non-classroom (carpool, assemblies, etc.) activities. Maintain good order and discipline among students and safeguard their health and safety at all times, as well as share in any possible and reasonable way in the effective management, organization, order, and discipline of the school. Assign work and provide regular and consistent feedback. Participate in and contribute to MAPS and IEP conferences and reviews of students and collaborate with parents, admin, EC Coordinators, and other professionals/stakeholders working with students. Communicate, consult, and cooperate with other members of the school staff. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress attainment, and behavior of students. Create or contribute to oral and written assessments, reports, and references relating to individual students/groups of students as part of the intervention process. Provide guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters and on their further education choices and careers, as well as information on sources of more expert advice. Monitor the attendance of students. Participate in professional development and training courses as well as in continuing PD opportunities and take part in action research exercises.
Work M-F, 7:15AM 3:15PM.
Requires a valid NC Professional Educators Licensure in Spanish K-12. All hires must submit to a background check and fingerprinting background check through NCSBI.
Requires at least a bachelors degree in Education, Applied Linguistics, or related field or foreign equivalent that leads to NC Professional Educators Licensure.
