Responsible for installing and configuring container platform tools (Kubernetes) and administering with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) Compliance; Install, configure, and administer Kubernetes and Docker (swarm) clusters; Utilize continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Nexus/Artifactory; Build and deploy applications and data for platforms such as Azure, Kubernetes, GCP, Cloud Foundry, and AWS; Perform configuration of management software such as Chef, Puppet, and Terraform; Install and configure logging and monitoring tools for observability such as Dynatrace, ELK for cloud foundry and/or Docker logs; Utilize Java, cloud native architecture, 12-factor applications, and application load-balancers and health check monitors; Install and configure container platform tools (Kubernetes) and administer with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) Compliance; Collaborate with leaders, technical product owners, delivery managers and other architects and engineers along with internal customers, to understand requirements and define architectural solutions that address business needs; Ensure technical design align with architecture guiding principles and directional technologies; Assist teams with executing solutions in line with defined architectures; Assist teams with identifying and troubleshooting complex issues and their remediation; Assist with data center exit and cloud migration work streams; Assist the technology evaluations and POC of directional technologies; Partner with a highly inspired and inquisitive team of technologists who are already developing platforms to the highest standard; Lead the buildout of cutting-edge engineering platforms and solutions that accelerate the modernization of the American Airlines applications; focus on self-service platform capacities with heavy emphasis on discoverability and automation; Partner with application team technical SMEs and utilize cloud migration experience to guide the application teams to make the right technology choices and build true cloud native 12-factor applications; Build reusable patterns for various cloud services; Ensure applications moving to the cloud are aligned with key pillars of well-architected framework; Drive Integration strategies (APIs, Messaging, and Streaming) that support application needs as they move to the cloud; Work in an open, collaborative, trusting and thought-provoking environment, one that encourages diversity of thoughtful and creative solutions; one that supports experimentation with a fall-forward culture.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.
Job Location: Ft. Worth, TX
Masters degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field plus 3 years of experience as Architect, Engineer, Developer, Lead, Analyst, or any occupation in which the required experience was gained, and demonstrated experience in: Azure; AWS; Kubernetes; Docker; Python; Nexus and Artifactory; Jenkins; Github and Github actions; Maven; Argo CD; Scripting (Bash); Cloud Foundry; Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK); Dynatrace; Datadog; Chef; Puppet; Terraform; API; MQ Messaging. A bachelors degree plus 5 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a masters degree plus 3 years of experience.
