Produce and inspire high-quality, well-tested code that is easy to read and maintain. Use technical knowledge to build new features, maintain the platform's stability at Live Persons scale, and increase technical excellence. Use the latest technologies to solve problems for the customers on a massive scale.
Focus on production readiness including root cause analysis, testing, monitoring, reliability and documentation. Contribute to the team's on-call rotation to improve incident coverage. Lead the development efforts for Automatic Messaging and the SDK, taking ownership of their design, implementation, and maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, quality assurance engineers, and UX designers, to deliver high-quality software products that meet user needs and business objectives. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development, such as GCP, Kubernetes, Kafka, NodeJs, and Javascript. Apply this knowledge to enhance existing processes and propose innovative solutions. Ensure the software development process complies with relevant industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements. Contribute to improving the development team's efficiency and productivity by advocating for adopting new tools, methodologies, and best practices. Position is in fixed location based in New York office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm
Two (2) years of experience as a software developer.

Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

- Software Design and Development
- Javascript
- Code Review
- Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting

Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

- NodeJS and Java
- GCP, Kubernetes, and Kafka
Requires a Bachelors degree in Business, Computational Science or a directly related field
Salary: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00/year
