Senior Product Designer (Plume Design, Inc., Palo Alto, California): Drive the end-to-end design process for innovative software-based applications for client and internal use. Spearhead the design for highly technical projects with unique functional specifications, such as the development of B2B network experience intelligence tools that will enable partnered communication service providers (CSPs) to collect insights regarding subscriber experience as well as to intervene with appropriate engagement and automatic solutions. Lead the development of highly performant and scalable financial analysis tools for organizational use. Own all aspects of the design process, including problem framing, strategy, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, iteration, validation, and development handoff. Collaborate with a fast-moving cross-functional team comprising of product managers, front-end developers, back-end developers, and QA developers so that a cohesive product vision is maintained throughout the development process. Execute complex product roadmaps and adjust scope, timeline, and task prioritization as needed to ensure a smooth, intuitive user experience that incorporates the latest tools and technologies available. Develop high-fidelity compositions, functional prototypes, and clear code documentation in order to provide a wide range of solutions to address dynamic project objectives. Employ specialized testing methodologies to ensure that all aspects of the software product design integrate seamlessly into existing workflows/protocols as well as established information architecture and software, firmware, and hardware systems. Prototype detailed user experiences from end to end, and work iteratively to improve user experience by incorporating valuable internal feedback and continually expanding her understanding of user scenarios. Partner with engineering teams to troubleshoot any bugs or errors prior to scheduled feature rollout. Serve as a point of consultation for when difficult tradeoffs relating to product features, cost, and schedule must be executed. Inform her technical process and identify opportunities to address critical needs more effectively actively soliciting and prioritizing input from end user-facing stakeholders. Build concrete steps to be implemented and be responsive in incorporating feedback. Approach designs from a systems perspective and work closely with other B2B designers on developing compatible patterns, design systems, and component libraries. Contribute feedback and collaboration flow within the B2B design team and participate in significant decision-making with the team lead. Position permits telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.
