Zendesk, Inc. seeks Senior Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA.

Job Duties: Write, test, and maintain code used by millions of people worldwide. Continually improve your and your colleagues' code through peer review, pair programming, and knowledge sharing. Monitor email processing systems, identify trouble spots, and debug production issues. Increase email system reliability through code optimization, improved monitoring, and early problem detection, security compliance, and improved change management practices. Craft and improve documentation for the team and throughout Zendesk. Partner with customer advocates to fix bugs impacting our customers and their end users. Estimate and prioritize work based on trade-offs and collaboration with stakeholders. Enforce engineering best practices when designing, building and maintaining our systems. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.

Special Skill Requirements:
(1) Programming using object-oriented programming languages, including Ruby, Python, or Java;
(2) Using data structures and algorithms to solve computational problems;
(3) Full stack web development, including data modeling, database technologies, web server environment, middleware components, network protocols, the user interface, basic visual design, and user interaction concepts;
(4) Web application design and programming in Javascript, Node.js, and React;
(5) Database technologies, including SQL, MySQL, and NoSQL; and
(6) Cloud infrastructure technologies, including AWS.

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Experience may be gained through academic coursework, scholastic achievement or work experience

Salary Range: $147,368 to $210,000 per annum.
