Clear Street Management LLC seeks Software Engineer (New York, NY)

Duties: Build scalable and reliable microservices for pre-trade, trade management, inventory management and pricing functions across the various Securities Finance businesses including Securities Lending, Repo, Agency Lending and Delta 1. Serve as a member of the Securities Finance Engineering team to build out Clear Street's Securities Finance Trading Platform from the ground up. Work closely with users such as traders, customers, and counterparties to understand requirements and rapidly iterate functionality. Take ownership of the system end-to-end including support and ongoing improvements. Build large scale, sophisticated trading systems on a modern and scalable technology stack from scratch. Apply knowledge of various technologies including Java/Spring Boot (for our service mesh), React (front-end), Python and R for ETL/Analytics and statistical modeling. Apply knowledge of relational databases like Postgres and utilize Kafka and Docker in performing the above duties.

Requires: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of experience in the position offered or related position. Must have 5 years of experience building and/or shipping production software. Must have 3 years of experience with: building microservices in Java or Spring Boot; working with Bloomberg reference and market data; working with pre-trade, trade management, or order routing systems; using relational databases including Postgres or OracleDB; using enterprise messaging systems including JMS or Kafka; and working with cloud technologies like AWS, GCP or Microsoft Azure.
