Job Title: Investment Funds AS Associate

Location: 151 W 42nd St, 19th Floor, New York, NY 10036

Salary: $86,113 and Standard Benefits.



Duties:

Understand clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Auditing Standards (GAAS) issues. Develop relationships with client employees as well as assisting clients with routine accounting and audit functions, anticipating and addressing client concerns and escalate problems as they arise. Understand and utilize RSM's audit approach and tools. Assess risks and evaluate the client's internal control structure. Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues. Prepare, examine and analyze client accounting records and financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulations. Provide insightful feedback on financial statements and prepare other client deliverables such as board communications, deficiency letters, management letters, etc.



Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or related; 1 year of experience as an Accountant or related, which must include: Prepared and consolidated monthly and yearly financial statements, and produced intercompany reconciliation reports. Partnered with cross-functional teams to prepare monthly and yearly in-depth financial analysis by business segments. Performed technical research on various accounting issues, advised applications to other accounting teams for complex accounting activities under US GAAP; worked with headquarter to make adjustments to comply with IFRS. 25% domestic travel is required.
