Printing Operations Manager (must have LEAN experience)
Will help with relocation Pittsfield, MA
Rotogravure experience in a plus.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the rotogravure printing plant, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of print production.
Coordinate with the production team to plan and manage print jobs, ensuring that deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
Monitor equipment maintenance and repair schedules to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Manage inventory of raw materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained to meet production needs.
Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to understand customer requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the plant.
Prepare and manage the operational budget, controlling costs and optimizing resources.
Train, supervise, and evaluate staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in operations management in a printing environment, preferably with specific experience in rotogravure printing.
Strong understanding of rotogravure printing processes and machinery.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficient in using inventory management software and other relevant computer applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
