Summary and Role Purpose


As the Sr. Manager, UX & Design Operations, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the UX and design operations for (link removed). You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of design projects, optimizing processes, and fostering collaboration across departments to deliver exceptional user experiences. This role requires a strategic, systems thinker with a strong background in UX design, project management, and cross-functional leadership.


Key Duties and Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to optimize UX and design operations, aligning with business objectives, industry best practices, and content strategy goals.
Process Optimization: Streamline design processes and workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability, ensuring seamless integration of content strategy considerations into every stage of the design lifecycle.
Front-End Development Architecture: Oversee the architecture of front-end development to enhance website usability, collaborating closely with developers to implement user-centered design principles and optimize user interactions and experiences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the web development team, product marketing managers, brand / creative team, and other stakeholders to integrate user-centered design principles into web development cycles.
Content Alignment: Work closely with content strategists and creators to ensure that design decisions align with content strategy objectives, messaging frameworks, and brand guidelines, resulting in cohesive and impactful user experiences across all touchpoints.
Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling for design projects, optimizing resource utilization and ensuring project deadlines are met.
Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure that designs meet the highest standards of usability, accessibility, and visual appeal.
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance metrics related to UX and design operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Talent Development: Identify training needs, provide professional development opportunities, and support the career growth of team members to build a high-performing and motivated workforce.


Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience


Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or related field or equivalent work experience.
8+ years of experience in UX design, design operations, or related roles.
Proven track record of leading and managing cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments, with experience integrating content strategy into design processes.
Strong understanding of UX design principles, methodologies, and tools.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Experience working with agile development methodologies, experience with SAFe is a plus.
