We will rely on you to:

The Analyst is a brand-new role to support the continued growth of Mercers Private Market Investment business. The team works closely with each part of the business and this role combines a broad range of responsibilities:
Become an expert on the implementation and rollout of private market technologies across the cycle of a fund: Investment pipeline, fund due diligence and portfolio monitoring.
Support the implementation of the Alternatives Data Strategy, contributing to investment data framework and governance initiatives.
Work closely with Mercer Alternatives Investment teams and investment directors to capture data-specific needs, streamline reporting, and address business issues.
Analyze existing Private Markets dataset and collaborate with Risk Management to cross-reference with the wider Alternatives team's needs.
Support the development of proprietary applications, analytics, and AI projects that contribute to Mercer's Intellectual Property.
Contribute to the growth of Mercer's PM Dataset through the utilisation of an Enterprise Data Management tool.
Stay attuned to industry and technology trends, markets and alternative product offerings and conceptualize impacts to the product offerings.


What you need to have:

Strong interest/experience in data analytics & products in the Investments domain
Good business acumen and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with senior personnel
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with private markets reporting, methodologies, and processes
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders and vice versa


What makes you stand out:

Understanding of Private Market specific technologies, such as, iLevel, eVestment and Investran
Working towards relevant certifications such as CFA and/or CAIA
Intermediate level of SQL, Python, BI Tools
