A New York-based Global Regulatory Enforcement Group at a Nationally recognized law firm seeks a 1-3-year Associate for white-collar defense and regulatory enforcement.

Ideal candidates possess 1-3 years' experience at a prominent law firm, handling civil and criminal litigation, government investigations, and SEC enforcement. Strong academic background, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, along with New York bar admission, are prerequisites. Compensation ranges from $225,000 to $250,000, subject to variables. Actual pay may vary based on factors including location and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Fund Transactions: Oversee and manage diverse fund transactions for private equity, credit, infrastructure, secondary, and real estate funds.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on fund borrowers to ensure compliance and risk assessment.
  • Legal Documentation: Draft and prepare fund-specific representations, undertakings, and events of default.
  • Advisory Services: Offer strategic advice on securing assets from partnership and typical fund vehicles.
  • Client Collaboration: Act on behalf of high-profile financial institutions, fostering strong client relationships.
  • Global Presence: Navigate a global footprint, maintaining a strong presence in key financial markets.
  • Recognition and Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal standards and industry regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to various finance transactions, collaborating within the funds finance team and the broader banking team.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients on a day-to-day basis, providing efficient and professional services.
  • Career Development: Contribute to complex, high-profile work, participating in the firm's Band 1 ranking for Funds Finance, and explore long-term career prospects within the organization.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in the state of New York or evidence of application for admission.
