• Contribute to all phases of software development lifecycle


• Develop software on Windows and Linux platforms in unclassified and classified environments


• Create real-time embedded systems and interfaces


• Apply knowledge in algorithms, human/machine interfaces, and launch protocols


• Use agile process following standard engineering processes


• Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems


• Maintain code and integrate software components into functional software system


• Develop software verification plans, test procedures, and execute them to ensure requirements are met


• Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance


• Coordinate with Configuration Management for release and distribution of software products


• Contribute in Agile development environment using Jira, BitBucket/git, and Confluence


• Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering team to create and implement Operational Flight Program software solutions


• Test software and assist system level testing


• Analyze problem reports and troubleshoot software defects


• Work directly with federal government institutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science degree in relevant field


• Active Secret security clearance


• Minimum 1 year of software development experience


• Minimum 1 year of experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems


• Experience in embedded real-time software development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with weapon and/or aircraft interfaces


• Professional experience with Visual Studio, JIRA, Green Hills AdaMULTI, VxWorks, and/or Ada


• Previous role utilizing a software development process


• Experience with ClearCase, ClearQuest, Jenkins


• Experience programming in Ada, Python, or C#


• Experience with C or C++


• Experience with Git or similar version control system


• Experience in Agile software development environment


• Experience working in professional team environment
