Motivo Engineering, LLC is a product engineering firm focused on translating audacious visions into awe inspiring products for our clients in the Mobility, Energy, AgTech, and Aerospace sectors. Motivo Engineering, LLC in Gardena, CA seeks a Mechatronics Engineer to design and fabricate wire harnesses.

Job responsibilities and duties include:
Prepare technical drawings of systems, components, and interfaces;
Design, implement, maintain, and improve circuits, including PCBs (printed circuit boards);
Research and sourcing of automotive electrical components and subsystems;
Troubleshoot and test various electrical systems;
Design motion control systems;
Develop Drive-by-wire control for autonomous vehicle control;
Design test benches for testing firmware before deploying onto devices;
Perform firmware development for a Battery Management System;
Estimate costs for budget preparation purposes and preparing and providing cost and schedule estimates for design, build, and test of full electrical systems.

This position does not supervise other personnel.

Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or any related Engineering field of study, plus at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s) in which the experience was gained.

Qualified candidates must also have demonstrable knowledge, experience, skill, and proficiency with the following:
One of the following Hardware designs: PCB, wire harness, or electronic systems.
Debugging, bench testing, soldering.
Firmware development: C/C++, controls, test scripting.
Mechanism design: planning, modeling, verification.
Prototyping, fabrication, testing , and static, dynamic, and thermal analysis.
