Position Description:



Designs and builds Representational State Transfer (REST) Web Services using Java. Incorporates and streamlines test automation to build Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery(CI/CD) pipelines and quality gates to test automation according to JavaScript (JS) methodologies using Jasmine and Karma. Implements industrial-grade Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) on gateway products (Apigee). Performs unit and integration testing to ensure efficient and effective completion. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.



Primary Responsibilities:



· Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

· Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

· Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

· Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

· Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

· Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

· Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

· Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

· Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

· Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.



Education and Experience:



Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology and Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing architectural design and development of Enterprise-scale Cloud applications with tax cost basis and pricing applications within the brokerage industry.



Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology and Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing architectural design and development of Enterprise-scale Cloud applications with tax cost basis and pricing applications within the brokerage industry.



Skills and Knowledge:



Candidate must also possess:



· Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing architectural design and development of Enterprise-scale applications to manage complex data and building RESTful Web services (Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and RESTful), using JSON, Java/Node JS, and Cloud technologies--Amazon Web Services (AWS); developing sharable libraries and event driven architecture patterns for Tax Cost basis using TIBCO EMS; and calculating cost basis for Intraday trade activity, using AWS Lambdas, Step Functions, and Cloud services.

· DE developing and maintaining functional and performant end-to-end tests, and integration with CI/CD pipelines; performing test orchestration and automating build and deploy process reporting, using Jenkins, Concourse, and UDeploy; and deploying and supporting applications in production, using Jest and Cucumber.

· DE developing and creating infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC); and building CI/CD pipelines to create automated infrastructure, using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Serverless frameworks.

· DE performing manual and automated testing according to Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies, using Jest, Cucumber, Karma, Jasmine, Junit, and Jenkins; and creating Web application performance improvements, using Java memory profiling and Web page testing tool.
