Twilio, Inc. seeks Fraud Operations Specialist (L3) in San Francisco, CA

Job Duties: Investigate potential fraudulent usage on Twilio’s platform to protect the integrity of communications products. Identify bad actors, root cause gaps, fraudulent activity, trends, and evolving tactics. Conduct detailed analysis of user service logs to identify anomalies in usage. Work with Trust Intelligence department to build suspect activity detection and prevention tools, and models to automate identification of fraudulent and illegal usage of products by external software developers. Develop and define an algorithm to identify future fraudulent activity. Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and Growth teams to assess impact of fraud on revenue and billing. Balance Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in compliance with GAAP for US-based clients and IFRS for global customers. Share investigation insights with Product and Engineering partners to form a feedback loop for automation and other fraud preventing product improvements. Develop and present live trainings. Telecommuting Permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business, Business Analytics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation in the field of fraud prevention.

Special Skills:
• Networking protocols and concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls
• Working investigations in the compliance, fraud, or abuse space
• Querying languages (eg. MySQL) and data analytics
• Balancing accounts in compliance with GAAP and IFRS
• Using Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems to perform compliance - related tasks, including reviewing fraud related issues, managing risks, and payment relation operations (e.g., chargeback disputes)
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-profile escalations and to leverage Microsoft office, Google suites, and Adobe Creative to coordinate efforts with stakeholders across a company
Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Education, experience & criminal background checks will be conducted.

Salary: $109,491 - $112,695 per year.
