Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. This includes updating or enhancing existing software and capabilities. Design and develop backend services in Tableau’s Enterprise analytics platform that provides data management capabilities and helps customers optimize their data operation flow. Deliver key features to enhance customer’s platform experience by improving the user interface which further improves business metrics like revenue and customer satisfaction. Utilize latest technology standards for software development like Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS cloud for scalable, reliable and other cloud computing services. Adhere to the team’s best practices for Software Engineering such as coding styles, peer code reviews and writing robust test cases for new features. Collaborate with product managers and your engineering manager on designing software solutions for new requirements to improve customer engagement. Contribute to the maintenance of existing software features and software systems by building dashboards, maintaining logging using Splunk, New Relic and other Software tools to maintain operational excellence. Develop features to optimize the performance of the product by retrieving geolocation information from an online customer and serve their data management dashboards from a distributed cloud located closest to the customer. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements (at least one year of experience with each of the following): (1) Java; (2) Spring; (3) Linux; (4) SQL; (5) DBs; (6) Git; and (7) Docker. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $147,368.00 - $193,000.00 per annum.
