Position Description:

Designs and builds large scale Web applications and digital capabilities using JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and Browser Developer tools and component-based frameworks like Angular/React/VueJS and NodeJS. Work in scrum teams contributing to development and testing activities. Deploys changes to software applications using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools. Builds highly scalable web applications integrating with REST API’s. Runs end-to-end DevSecOps automation with CI/CD pipelines with quality gates including Unit, Component, Functional and Performance test automation. Hands-on experience working in all phases of Software development life cycle. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications.


Primary Responsibilities:

· Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

· Designs and builds large scale Web applications using modern web technologies

· Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

· Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

· Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

· Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

· Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

· Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

· Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

· Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.


Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building highly scalable web applications using modern web front-end and middle-tier technologies.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building highly scalable web applications using modern web front-end and middle-tier technologies.


Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

· Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing high performant financial applications, using modern Web technologies -- Angular, JavaScript/Typescript, Node JS, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.

· DE developing REST API’s and integrating API’s with front-end technologies; and conducting performance testing using wire mock.

· DE performing application design, development, and testing following design patterns, Agile methodologies, and Test and Behavior Driven Development (TDD and BDD), using Karma, Selenium, Mocha, Junit, and Cypress.

· DE implementing quality gates with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using DevOps tools -- Git, Jenkins, uDeploy, Sonar, AWS cloud, and Blue/Green Deployment model.
