EDM Machinist – CNC/Wire (2nd Shift) - Avon, Ohio - JOB 440-24-00383

Hourly Rate: $25.88 - $27.36/HR ($1.50/HR shift differential) Permanent Position with Benefits.

Avon Manufacturing Company is seeking a EDM Machinist. Key responsibilities are to set up and operate wire EDM machines to cut any materials that conduct electricity according to specifications and tooling instructions.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have 1 to 2 years tool room/CNC programming experience.
• Must have basic metallurgy skills.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Good understanding of Die theory.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Must have good math skills (including geometry and trigonometry)
• Able to use precision measuring instruments.
• Able to maintain close tolerances.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment.
• Must have good analytical skills.
• Mus have a good mechanical aptitude.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Must have good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on occasion.

Key duties:
• Receives blueprints to be programmed from die maker and programs (and stores) data on Client Apollo 735
• Checks size and grade of material before setup on machine
• Retrieves the program from the CAD system using a personal computer.
• Runs the program and edits as needed.
• Check's part prior to release from the setup
• Resets the part if necessary.
• Release's part to die maker for finishing work.

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
