The Data Evangelist will leverage advanced knowledge of data science principles and determine which data science educational topics should be taught to align with customer data science education interests and DataCamp’s overall business goals. The Data Evangelist will source internal and external data science experts to instruct educational training through the DataCamp’s data science education platform and will provide technical guidance to the data expert in creating content for the training. Specific duties will include:

● Serve as a thought leader on data related topics and advise curriculum and product teams on their roadmaps;
● Review the work of the data experts for technical correctness, pedagogical excellence, and customer requirements to ensure proper data science training is provided;
● Serve as a data science expert and instruct live data science training on technical topics;
● Work with the Company’s technical design team to develop and ensure a data science cheat sheet is technically correct, visually attractive, and available to its users as a way to further understand the data science curriculum;
● Lead data science training webinars and provide technical guidance to the data science learning experts in creating correct and comprehensive content for the webinar;
● Lead and oversee the innovative technical Data Framed podcast, which includes Sourcing and Interviewing Chief Data Officers, data managers, and other data expert guests, and working with Content Operations and the Podcast Producer to ensure that the final recording is high quality;
● Organize virtual conference events, which includes defining a technical content agenda, sourcing and liaising with high profile guests, coordinating Marketing and Product team tasks;
● Prepare tutorial and blog post specifications that will be followed by Data Science Experts;
● Work with the Workspace product team to ensure alignment between data science education product development and live training needs;
● Work with the Content team to ensure alignment between Media content and Content team content.

5% domestic/international travel required to visit DataCamp offices and unanticipated customer locations as needed

Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or directly related quantitative field plus five (5) years of professional experience in a data science related role with a focus on analyzing statistical data for data science education platforms. Experience must include the following (may be gained concurrently):

● 5 years of experience programming technical solutions using Python, R, or SQL;
● 3 years of experience in machine learning;
● 3 years of experience in business analytics;
● 3 years’ experience in instructional and curriculum design and/or course creation for data science-related subjects;
● 1 year experience in a commercial technical role such as consultancy, sales engineering, or solution architecture;
● 1 year of experience presenting to external audiences at conferences, webinars, and podcasts.
