Senior Wireless Systems Engineer (Delart Technology Services LLC; Sunnyvale, CA) (multiple positions): Develop technologies for wireless devices and radio access infrastructure platforms, including wireless solutions such as IEEE 802.11 standards and cellular networks. Integrate hardware and software for wireless devices and infrastructure platforms. Optimize end-to-end wireless platforms, including algorithms and configurations of the communication system. Work on characterization of wireless systems' performance, in terms of link quality, in an emulation environment as well as lab environment using measurement equipment. Analyze and evaluate wireless physical (PHY) layer and Medium Access Control (MAC) layer in software simulations and hardware platforms. Utilize software simulation tools such as C/C++, MATLAB/Python to perform system analysis and optimizations. Use the lab characterization results and data to optimize the performance of the system in operational deployments in the field. The position is based out of Sunnyvale, CA but may require travel to various unanticipated client sites in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Five (5) years of experience as a Research Engineer, Wireless Systems Engineer or related occupation.

Alternate Education and Experience: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Three (3) years of experience as a Research Engineer, Wireless Systems Engineer or related occupation.

Must have experience with: Systems design, development and optimization of wireless networks; one of the specifications of Wi-Fi standards (IEEE 802.11ax or cellular radio access technologies LTE); analysis and implementation of wireless PHY or MAC layers in simulation tools (C++, MATLAB or Python); characterization and optimization of data traffic profiles such as TCP or UD Pover wireless networks; validation and optimization of wireless hardware, and software platforms in the lab; and cellular/LTE/5G or Wi-Fi/802.11.
