Lead, recommend and deliver a content and communication strategy, write and deliver product and solutions documentation for the Lacework platform, Work with the cross-functional teams to learn about product features and functionality, Drive improvements in information architecture, documentation tools, standards, and processes, drive content and communication strategy efforts, including content sharing opportunities with Marketing, Training, and Customer Support teams. Detailed job duties include: Develop documentation, videos, and on-screen text to help customers efficiently install, configure, and use the Lacework platform and APIs. Use docs-as-code model of documentation (Markdown, GitHub, Docusaurus, and Netlify) and agile methodologies to author and deliver content. Follow technical writing standards and style guidelines to simplify complex concepts into engaging and concise content and ensure consistency across documents. Review content written by contributors outside the documentation team and ensure quality and consistency. Use Altassian Confluence and Jira to track and manage documentation projects. Work with cross-functional team of engineering, product managers, QA, and customer support to learn about the Lacework platform and understand typical customer use cases and solutions. Attend internal demos and product feature meetings. Conduct round table reviews, review functional specifications and user stories, and follow up with questions via emails, calls, and in-person meetings. Identify content structure requirements and work with the engineering team to design and implement the stylesheets required to achieve the content structure. Work with UX designers and the engineering team to continuously improve the design and organization of the product documentation website. Apply search engine optimization techniques to enable customers to quickly find information on the website. Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and ease-of-use of documentation tools, standards, and processes. Work with customers, product managers, marketing, training, and customer support teams to define a portfolio of documentation deliverables that is focused on improving the customer information experience. Identify opportunities for promoting high-value content to customers and sharing content developed by other teams. Perform content audits and use analytics to identify areas where we need to focus on for developing content. $191,000 - $200,000 per year. Minimum job requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communications, English, Computer Science, or a related field and at least five years of experience. Will accept a three-year Bachelor’s degree or three-years of college education in any major and at least seven years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience. Must have experience in the following areas: Experience in network or cloud security; Experience with at least one of the following: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure; Experience in leading enterprise-level product documentation projects and processes; Experience working in an Agile development environment; Experience with docs-as-code model of documentation including at least one of the following: Markdown, GitHub, Docusaurus, or Netlify; Experience working with Confluence or Jira.
