Mercer Portugal is seeking candidates for the following position based in Portugal:


INVESTMENTS PERFORMANCE JUNIOR ANALYST



What can you expect?

As anInvestments Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for the production of various investments monitoring reports for pension funds, which include asset allocation, performance, risk analysis, price/performance assessment and strategy updates;
Be an integral part of an exciting project, where we support our Wealth business;
Work directly and in a daily basis with the Europe-based consultants;
First 1 to 1-2 years be part of the Operations team this will bring you a solid and foundational experience that will leverage even further your career path.

For the initial 6 months it's required to work from the office. After that, you can opt for the hybrid working model, which allows you to work from home 2 days per week.


We will count on you to:

Be part of a culture of having fun while delivering results with a high quality standard;
Produce investments monitoring reports for pension funds with quantitative and qualitative analysis and performance appraisal;
Contact external entities (such as asset managers) to validate customer information;
Compile information and prepare analysis, evaluation and interpretation of results;
Follow-up with consulting teams, suggesting approaches and clarifying details of reports produced;
Be responsible for thorough analysis of portfolios to help stakeholders make better investment decisions;
Support consultants when appropriate on a technical perspective (methodologies, assumptions) and client reporting queries.


What you need to have:

Bachelors or MastersinFinance, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar.
Strong Microsoft Office skills;
FluentEnglish level;
Strong analytical skills, ease with VBA/Python/R is a plus;
Attention to detail is critical;
Strong problem solving skills & ability to clearly articulate complex issues;
Excellent planning andorganisationalskills in order toprioritiseand effectively manage a wide variety of ongoing tasks;
Proactive and goal oriented;
