Join our client's team in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where you will play a crucial role in our office operations as a Construction Bookkeeper(link removed) Our client specializes in residential, commercial, and public prevailing wage projects, and we're seeking an organized and adaptable individual to manage various administrative and clerical tasks related to bookkeeping. Responsibilities:



  • Process weekly payroll and handle monthly Certified Payroll & Pay Applications for public prevailing wage projects.

  • Perform digital and paper filing tasks efficiently.

  • Manage payables and receivables accurately.

  • Adapt to new accounting software (construction-based) within the next few months.

  • Answer phones and handle email correspondence with vendors.

  • Update digital project folders and assist with invoicing.

  • Manage pay applications and material lien waivers.

  • Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.

  • Assist with year-end tax preparation for the CPA and submit state taxes.

  • Handle Simple IRA weekly submissions and Builders Trust Workers Comp.

  • Coordinate annual insurance audits for Workers Comp, Liability, etc.

  • Conduct monthly and as-needed audits of the books.

  • File Navajo Nation taxes quarterly.

  • Manage progress billing and assist with time and material billing (backup function).

  • Utilize QuickBooks Online and proficiently navigate office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.

  • Bring at least 2 years of experience working in a construction office setting.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Teams, and other necessary software.

  • Quickly adapt to learning new tasks and technologies.

  • Onsite office environment



Compensation:



  • $25 - $30 per hour

  • 50% Medical coverage paid by the company

  • Simple IRA with 3% match by the company
