Project Engineer (Bellport, NY): Analyze and coordinate blueprints and drawings of steel manufacturer and heavy construction contractor and provide engineering advice for design, construction, and structure. Monitor company’s commercial and industrial heavy construction projects and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations. Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals, plans and budgetary restrictions. Review project specifications, bid proposals, scope reports, cost estimates, site surveys and measurements. Identify project phases and elements and coordinate field personnel for daily construction site activities. Create shop drawings of steel items using AutoCAD software. Ensure that field measurements are taken properly in line with the engineering data and conduct quantity inspections. Salary is $120,000 annually.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience as Project Engineer, Civil Engineer, or related position. Experience reviewing designs and blueprints for commercial and industrial projects. Experience coordinating project foremen and laborer crews to ensure the completion of daily project objectives. Experience preparing detailed project status update reports for management review. Experience maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
