Humane, Inc. seeks Senior Device Experience Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA.

Job Duties: As a Senior Device Experience Software Engineer at Humane, they will be responsible for designing and developing on-device software to support core features and user experiences. Some projects may include: developing Android applications and software development kits (SDKs), modifying the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) codebase, writing full stack Android applications, collaborating with key cross-functional partners to develop end-to-end server to device experiences, communicating with external partners to integrate their experiences into our platform, iterating on key user experiences with the design team, and debugging and diagnosing issues in our code. In this role, they will be expected to lead the technical design of essential components and functionality of the product, working with adjacent engineering teams to develop efficient and robust software. They will also be responsible for evaluation and improvement of existing functionality in the device software. A typical week for them will consist of technical discussions to drive agreement across teams for feature development, and developing and testing the code to implement functionality and features. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering or program analysis.

Salary: $215,197 - $221,650 per year.
