Job Summary:

As a Senior Project Engineer specializing in Electrical Controls, you will play a pivotal role in engineering electrical controls projects from design to commissioning, primarily focusing on the municipal water and wastewater industry. Your responsibilities will include designing electrical schematics, creating Bill of Materials, developing Control Narratives, and managing project documentation to ensure successful project delivery.

Position Responsibilities:

Design electrical schematics for control panels, motor control centers, power distribution panels, and assorted wiring diagrams.
Create Bill of Materials for each project to facilitate procurement and resource allocation.
Develop Control Narratives outlining the intended function of each project's electrical controls.
Read and follow project plans and specifications to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Provide support to the control panel shop during the manufacturing process, addressing design-related questions and ensuring accuracy.
Manage all project documentation according to company standards and project-specific requirements.
Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the design and construction phases of the projects to address any concerns and provide updates.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a project engineer role (or similar), including design, implementation, and project closeout.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or 2-year Associates degree in an Automation-related field. Preferred but not required.
Proficiency in electrical CAD Software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical) required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience with project management methodologies, covering initial concept/proposal, design, implementation, and closeout.
