Vivace Academy LLC is seeking a full time Music Instructor at Katy, TX.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Instruct and guide students spanning various age groups and proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced, in developing their cello playing skills, musicianship, and overall understanding of music. This includes teaching students from elementary or middle school, up to those in high school

Design, develop, evaluate, and modify course curricula, content, and teaching methods to ensure the most effective instructional outcomes

Guide students in selecting and preparing appropriate repertoire, including solo pieces, sonatas with violin or piano, and concertos with orchestral accompaniment, ensuring a diverse range of styles and periods

Continuously assess students' progress, providing feedback and emphasizing correct techniques, communicate regularly with students, parents, or guardians to discuss evolvement, address concerns, and provide guidance on practice routines and expectations

Articulate and demonstrate intricate cello techniques to foster artistic development, fostering a deep understanding of the instrument's expressive potential

Attend and participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and other events organized by the music academy to stay current with pedagogical approaches and best practices in cello instruction

Encourage and facilitate students' participation in chamber music and ensemble playing, fostering their collaborative skills and exposing them to additional repertoire

Requirement: A masters degree in music, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience is required. The candidate must demonstrate a strong command of cello repertoire, possess experience in performing within chamber ensembles and orchestras, and have a solid foundation of music theory. Patience and hardworking spirits are mandatory.
