DevOps AWS Cloud Engineer (Remote) We have an immediate need for a contract DevOps AWS Cloud Engineer to join a premier management consulting firm. The DevOps AWS Cloud Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and deployment pipelines on the AWS cloud platform. Location: Remote This job expects to pay about $70 - 75 per hour plus benefits. What You Will Do:
- Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure on AWS cloud platform.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated code deployment and release management.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architecture and performance on AWS.
- Configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, ECS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- Monitor system health and performance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including IAM roles, security groups, and network access control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure requirements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay updated with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices, and propose innovative solutions.
What Gets You The Job:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldterra.
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in DevOps roles, with a focus on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge and experience with AWS services and infrastructure components.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with VPC, VPN, and subnets.
- Solid understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls on AWS.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker.
- Expertise in Python and shell scripting, yaml and jinja2 templates to build github actions workflows
- Expertise in Git to develop and manage Github branching using custom as well as industrywide followed trunk based models.
- Terraform expertise to build CI/CD pipelines
