As they continue to grow, they are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join their team and lead the way in engineering services.


Position Summary: As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing engineering services for your related discipline while ensuring the quality and technical accuracy of documentation. You will take the lead on multiple projects, design complete projects, and act as a technical resource within the firm. Your expertise will contribute to the development, improvement, and implementation of processes, standards, and guidelines.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop an advanced understanding of the related discipline through project experience.

  • Design complete projects, including design and specification.

  • Act as a technical resource within the firm, contributing to the development of processes, standards, and guidelines.

  • Forecast project needs and schedule engineers, mentoring and assigning tasks to less experienced team members.

  • Lead client meetings, develop early design direction, and ensure technical accuracy and completion of final documents.

  • Foster client relationships through social and project-related functions.

  • Aid in the development of proposals for professional engineering services.



General and Technical Requirements:



  • Apply thorough knowledge of current principles and practices of consulting engineering.

  • Serve as a technical lead on projects, applying advanced concepts, principles, and methods.

  • Keep informed of new developments affecting the technical area of expertise.

  • Independently interpret and execute project assignments.

  • Provide lead engineering services for complex projects.



Qualifications:


To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.



  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering plus 4+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of design concepts and how they apply to complex institutional (civic, higher education, health care, corrections, laboratory, and research) projects.

  • Active Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in a state where the company performs services.

  • Ongoing education to maintain technical proficiency in building codes, energy codes, and sustainable design.



Skills and Abilities:



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in relevant software, including Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Dependability and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Judgement and problem-solving ability.

  • Commitment to quality management.



Compensation:



  • $87K 100K Salary DOE + Bonus
