SMV Recruiting has an immediate opening for experienced Process Technicians in Concord, NC. We are looking for someone for the injection molding team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience working with injection molding machines on a manufacturing plant floor with automation. Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot automated and injection molding equipment


• Adjust machine parameters to achieve optimal output and quality


• Write recipe/formula for plastic end products (hold times, plasticizers, parts, etc.)


• Repair equipment


• Perform quality control checks


• Coordinate with maintenance staff to address machine malfunctions


• Perform preventative maintenance on injection molding machines


• Assist as needed with mold changes, set-ups, tooling problems and work process

• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience


• 2+ years of injection molding experience


• 2+ years of hard automation/highly customized machines (grippers, air cylinders, slides) strongly desired


• Be familiar with plastic defects (blush, short shots, etc.)


• Experience writing requirements from scratch


• Forklift certification


• Must have a very high mechanical aptitude


• Understanding of PLC equipment


• Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment using a multimeter


• Software experience with ASI System and NCR database


• Able to stand the majority of the work day, perform repetitive job functions and manual dexterity and lift 50lbs
