Senior Project Manager, Ascendum Solutions LLC, Blue Ash, OH.

Accountable for ensuring delivery of the projects for which they are responsible. Prioritize solution delivery that meets the project’s objectives within schedule and budget. Work on a team of project managers to deliver Ascendum’s portfolio of projects and execute the responsibilities of Ascendum’s project management office. Communicate with all project team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project progress and motivation for the project’s direction. Work collaboratively with local and remote teams, end-users, project stakeholders, and Ascendum’s project management office to provide guidance and support of upcoming and active projects. Define project features, requirements, assumptions, and limitations with an actionable approach. Work with the Agile Delivery Team and Product Managers to drive the definition and refinement of the program and team backlog. Work cross functionally to align strategy, methodology, and execution. Facilitate Agile and Scrum development practices, embodying Ascendum’s methodology and serving in a way that best meets the project needs. Cultivate the project team’s morale, sense of direction, and overall performance so that the project team feels empowered and responsible for executing toward the project’s goals. Plan and track project status and resources, including cost models, schedules, estimations, and risk assessments. Solve the limitations of project schedule, resources, and scope, generating creative ideas to ensure project objectives continue to be met. Execute and improve upon the processes and artifacts of Ascendum’s project management office to better support Ascendum’s business goals and customer satisfaction. Own the delivery assigned projects. Less than 5% travel (about three trips per year for 1-2 business days) to client worksites for meetings.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, business management, or related field; 60 months of experience as a Project Manager or a related occupation involving project management; 48 months of experience with Agile software and/or data focused projects; demonstrable passion for building technology solutions; proactive problem-solving skills; and incredible communication and organization skills.
